Johan Van Parys is a conceptual thinker and art director at Dtonic, where he has been active since 2007. He likes to compare himself to a speck of dust in the universe — small in scale, yet inseparably connected to the greater whole.
Creativity is both a driving force and a philosophy of life for Johan. To him, it represents the essence of human evolution and serves as a natural playground where he combines commercial projects, strategy, branding, and visual storytelling with his personal artistic pursuits.
Alongside his work at Dtonic, he wrote the book Creativity of Cellulite in Dutch — a practical roadmap to more creative thinking and living. In the book, he explains his creative process through a clear step-by-step framework across 192 pages, including practical implementation techniques.
Under the alias 535, Johan also creates fine art photography, both analog and digital. Drawing from dream imagery, intuition, and streams of thought, he transforms abstract ideas into visual narratives that he exhibits in various artistic contexts.
Encouraging and awakening the creative potential within leaders and organizations is a personal mission for Johan.
