TITLE: The Weight of Time
Photographed in Brescia, Italy
As the sun began to set behind the buildings of Brescia, I rushed toward the grand archway, hoping I hadn’t missed the moment. I had seen the sculpture before — the suspended rhinoceros, surreal, heavy, and motionless, hovering in the air in a way that seemed almost impossible. But this time, I wanted to capture it in the light of dusk, just before it disappeared. On the way there, I imagined the angle, the silence beneath the arcade, the geometry of the space — everything needed to converge into a single image.
As I arrived, I noticed something new: the weight of time wasn’t only in the creature’s presence, but also in its reflection — shimmering softly on the water below, merging with the fading sunlight into a single, fluid mirror.
For me, this image is not just about the sculpture. It is about tension and stillness, absurdity and elegance, about time suspended between sky and earth, just like the creature itself. The rhinoceros, a symbol of weight, strength, and primal presence, is held gently, almost tenderly, by thin straps, caught between danger and calm as time quietly slips by. Disconnected from its surroundings, and yet, mysteriously, it belongs.
The photograph became a meditation on permanence in a shifting world. Concrete and steel frame the organic form, while the quiet city unfolds behind — indifferent, observant, continuing on.
This work is a reflection on what it means to carry time, to be dislocated from your place, and to begin to understand the true weight of time as it flows.

Background and Professional Focus
My creative journey began in high school, where I majored in design and developed a strong foundation in visual thinking. Since then, I have been working as a photographer alongside my studies. My work has been featured on leading Instagram pages in Israel and internationally, gaining recognition and expanding my professional presence. I mainly photograph while traveling the world during semester breaks, capturing unique moments and cultures through my lens.
Photography as a Personal and Creative Outlet
In addition to its artistic and professional value, photography serves as a meaningful tool for personal expression and emotional processing—especially during the past year and a half, in the context of the ongoing war. Through photography, I find a way to reflect, document, and express, further deepening my connection to the craft and strengthening my drive to create impactful visual stories.
