TITLE: Winter floodplains of the Bug River

The photographs depict the winter flooding of the Bug River in eastern Poland. The flooding occurs when the freezing temperatures freeze the main river channel, causing excess water to spill over onto the surrounding undulating meadows. This series was captured during one of my expeditions to a location where the flooded water forms magnificent compositions with sparsely growing trees. On this particular morning, I also encountered splendid conditions where dense fog, following overnight snowfall, enveloped everything, adding an extraordinary atmosphere to the surroundings. For the photography on that day, I employed the classic method of using a tripod-mounted camera. However, to capture inaccessible areas surrounded by water, I utilized a drone, which provided me with an entirely different perspective, lending the entire series a wide-angle view.
