TITLE: Yggdrasil
Yggdrasil is an immense and sacred tree that is at the center of the cosmos and considered very holy. The gods go to Yggdrasil daily to assemble at their traditional governing assemblies. The branches of Yggdrasil extend far into the heavens.
I captured this image to depict the concept of Yggdrasil. It was particularly striking because of the noon sun illuminating the leaves at just the perfect intensity in contrast with the branches, giving it a divine glow.

I incorporate a relativist perspective using photographs as raw materials to create new visual experiences to explore reality. My practice of photography as an art form is an amalgamation of myriad subjects, most repeatedly, urban landscapes, habitat and ecology, among a range of other multitude interests. I’m interested in the human experience from a standpoint of exploration and inquiry. My influences expound fragments of work that include paradox as a constant paradigm shift in identity. The photographs also delve into the implications of language in how it formulates our understanding of the world. An indispensable element of this practice includes the necessity to examine paradox as central in every aspect. The pattern and synchronicity of an overlay method depicts friction, which is necessary to understand how transformation is steady and relentless. I steer away from linear modes of thought patterns, thereby allowing a wider scope of elliptical aphorisms to pervade in the creation of these photographs.
