TITLE: Sand and Sky

White Sands National Monument in New Mexico, USA was unlike any other place I have visited on earth. The contrast of the moodiness of the clouds and the white gypsum sand evoke a feeling of being on another planet. Despite being able to see for miles, people have become lost in the dunes and even died due to the heat and exposure. The real-life mirage covers 275 square miles and is the largest gypsum dunefield in the world.
